Describe your skin: Balanced and resilient. I can get slightly oily in my t zone on a particularly hot day but my skin can handle a lot without having a negative reaction. Although, it can get dehydrated due to the fluctuations in the weather. I don’t find that I battle a ton of skin issues because I can usually take care of them before it becomes a problem.

What are your short-term and long-term skin goals?

Short term is to make sure my skin stays hydrated and not oily in the summer months. Long term is definitely to keep my skin as happy and healthy as it is now.

Biggest concern: My skin is slightly dehydrated and drinking up any hydrating products I put on it. That’s my biggest focus at the moment.

AM: I start every morning off with a gentle cleanser. I usually use Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser, since it doesn’t strip the skin. Then I’ll press Cocokind Skincare Rose Water Toner on a piece of gauze into my skin to make sure there is no cleanser left on my skin, and to prep for my next steps. Since I am a skincare junkie, I end up trying a lot of products. My routine will be consistent for a few weeks until I change it. One thing that I’ve been using in all of my morning routines is The Ordinary Amino Acids + B5 Serum. It’s been great for keeping my skin hydrated and healthy. Bye bye dehydration! On top of that, I’ll layer whatever serum I’ve been loving. Lately, that has been the Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum; I’m onto my second bottle. If you want to glow, this is the serum for you. Next is moisturizer and sunscreen. For moisturizer, I love the Tula Aqua Infusion Oil-Free Gel Cream. It’s like a tall drink of water for your skin, and I love how versatile it is. You can use it like a serum, if you have dry skin, or alone as a moisturizer if you don’t need anything thicker. It’s super light weight. I know it contains fragrance, which is annoying but it doesn’t irritate my skin. Krave The Beet Shield or Glossier Invisible Shield are my sunscreens of choice. It depends on the day and what I’m feeling. Both are great. I also reapply it every 2 hours.

Kudos to you for wearing sunscreen! It's arguably the most important part of a morning routine. The Beet Shield is an amazing sunscreen with quality ingredients. We love a combination of Vitamin C and SPF, both found in there.

PM: My evening routines tend to be much shorter in comparison to my AM routine. I’m usually really tired and want to go to bed, but I will not sleep without taking care of my face. I’ll double cleanse at night to get rid of sunscreen on my skin. I’ll start by using Cocokind Skincare Oil to Milky Cleanser or The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser. I will warm it up in my hands and then gently massage it into my my face for 45 seconds. Add a little bit of water, and wash it all away. For my second cleanse, I use Then I Met You Soothing Tea Cleansing Gel. It’s also very gentle on the skin and doesn’t make me feel dry or tight. That’s key when looking for a cleanser. Then I will press rose water into my skin again. Two times a week I use a chemical exfoliant. Drunk Elephant TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum is one of my favorites. I will apply it and then let it sink into my skin for 5ish minutes while I do something else. I always wait until it’s dry to go ahead with moisturizer. If I’m not exfoliating, I usually use The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% serum. I mix a skincare cocktail for my night time moisturizer. I take a small amount of Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich, 3 drops of Leo Oil, and a pump of Good Science Beauty Brightening Cream. This always leaves my skin soft and evens out my skin tone overnight. I also always bring my skincare down my neck too. Can’t forget Eye Cream! I’m been testing out Glossier Bubblewrap as an eye cream, and it is nice. My all time favorite eye cream is Dr. Lili Fan Probiotic Eye Repair Cream.

Be careful with eye creams! Eye creams are great at getting rid of puffiness but the only way to get rid of circles and bags is with procedures. There’s unfortunately no proven creams or serums that will get rid of under-eye happenings but we hope to see some in the future. I would recommend that whenever you come in contact with your eyes, be careful not to tug or pull too hard to keep everything looking smooth.
