What are your short-term and long-term skin goals?

Long term I'm going to have to do something about my psoriasis so that's cute!!! It doesn't really effect me yet but I've got a big storm coming. But for now, I'd like to keep my skin clear, unbothered, and dewy if possible.

Biggest concern:
I'm very comfortable in my skin lately. I've worked very hard at it for the past year so I'm proud of where I am in my face. Right now, my two skin-related problems (which I do not frequently think about but exist) are improving my diet and finding a body lotion that moisturizes me to my core in all the right ways for the right price.

I recently became a lover towards the art of showering, which pushed facial skin care to the side. I also think I've found my seasonal routines (but probably not because there is something so magical about trying new skincare).

AM:
In the morning, my routine is checking emails in bed, brushing my teeth, putting on sunscreen and shoes, and leaving. For the past two or three months, the only skincare in the morning is Neutrogena Sunscreen SPF 55. I always make two inch-and-half long lines of sunscreen on my fingers and move upwards before stepping out.

We love this sunscreen journey for you! To keep skin fresh and dewy, consider adding a gentle and moisturizing morning cleans into your routine. We’re big fans of a quick swipe of Bioderma Micellar Water, or Glossier’s Milky Jelly Cleanser for a morning refresh. Overnight, pillows can cause some skin issues, such as dryness and breakouts, so it’s good to combat with a quick morning rinse.

PM:
Right before I go to bed is when I indulge in my skincare ritual. I double cleanse on occasion with Pond's Cold Cream. I use like three scoops of my finger and smear it all over my face until it looks greasy as hell. Then in the shower, I use Burt's Bees Facial Cleanser. It stings the pores by my nose a tad but I like it. For some reason, I really trust Burt's Bees. After I dry off, I use Tretinoin at 0.05% strength. It was prescribed by my dear dermatologist, Chelsea, and is filled by my gorgeous CVS near my school. I glaze on a pea-sized amount on my face and I thank her every day for my clear skin. Up until winter started, I was using Burt's Bees Brightening Moisturizer to finish. Since it's winter now, it's crucial to use a thick moisturizer. The thick one from Kiehl's is really good, but I prefer Glossier's Priming Moisturizer Rich because of the rosy scent. I put on a couple dollops and head to bed knowing I'll wake up glowing the next day.

Good for you! It’s so important to listen to your skin as the seasons change. Skin needs some extra TLC in the colder months, so switching to a richer moisturizer in the winter will help protect skin from the less-than-desirable conditions.
