Describe your skin: Either a finicky hormonal hellscape or smooth as a baby's butt. No in between.

What are your short-term and long-term skin goals?

Short-term goal is to fade scars from moments of weakness in face picking. Long-term goal is to get that Imsuperhealthyanddrinklotsofwater even-toned glow, while not getting bogged down by disappointment in how my skin looks!!!!!

Biggest concern:

I've been having trouble developing a winter skincare routine that helps my skin look even year round!

Buckle up- I have many potions and lotions to share with you.

My face routine has a pretty simple foundation that I then layer on top of with special lil treats for my face when I wanna pamper myself or glam up. For the rest of my body I consistently use Palmer’s Raw Shea Body Lotion on normal days then Vaseline Cocoa Radiant Body Gel Oil for gamby nights out.

AM:

Cetaphil Daily Face Wash

Tea tree oil applied like a serum

Tea tree oil is great for clearing up acne but can sometimes be too much for the skin. It’s an antimicrobial ingredient so it kills all bacteria on the skin and can sometimes harm more than help. Use tea tree oil in moderation.

Glossier Priming Moisturizer

Kiehl’s Super Fluid Daily UV defense SPF 50+ (yes...black ppl need sunscreen too 🙄)

PM:

(In shower) Kiehl’s Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash

Tea Tree Oil applied like a serum

If SUPER dry then substitute Tea Tree Oil for Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Face Oil

Followed by Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula Moisture Rich Night Cream

But wait, there's more!!! These are the things I use sporadically to soothe my skin when it’s flaring up, minimize my under eye bags, or zap the occasional volcano that decides to sprout up.

Soothe skin:

Kiehl’s Calendula and Aloe Soothing face mask. I throw this on in every few days in the shower after cleansing and keep it on until washing it off at the end of the shower to make sure it soaks in goodt!! This stuff always leaves my skin plump and GLOWING!!!!!!

Minimize under eye bags:

JayJun Green tea eye gel patch. IDK what magic is in these things but I pop them on every Sunday morning (when I remember) and they just tighten everything up and make me look like I consistently get 12 hours of sleep.

Zap volcano:

For one volcano: Clearasil Ultra Rapid Action Pads (Salicylic Acid 2%) targeted application (q tip or just roll the lil pad up into a wand) at night after cleansing and before sleep (don’t forget to change your pillowcase often!!!)

OR

For many volcanoes: Glossier Solution applied with a thin cotton pad after cleansing and followed by my moisturizer and sunscreen (I usually do this for a week during and after a big breakout)

Solution is made up of AHA/BHAs that help clear the skin, but also sensitize it. With this in mind, it should be used before going to sleep. This allows for your skin to recover overnight.
